The friendliest people I've met are prolly the ones when I go to a certain mega0church. I'm not one who goes church regularly, so to actually come is a major achievement unlock. So to the friendliest person I've met for a day, thanks for being friendly, and welcoming when I came to join your cell for service. Then I wouldn't be out of place or awkward. One thing tho, I've my reasons to not come church, be it whether my parents disapprove or I just don't like the churchy atmosphere (it's up to you to speculate), I do hope you respect my choice and not try to persuade to come more often. Hmm, not exactly a person, but more like a thing. Music gives me the best memories. It's my solace from whatever troubles or frustrations I have. It comforts me like no one else can. And especially to the instrument I play, it's not a common musical craft, like piano or violin, where many have. I'm extremely thankful to be able to know such a craft, and even though I suck at it most of the time, I'm grateful just as much. 11 years of learning this instrument, and I never once regretted it. Gave me the best time of my life, the best people, and the best lessons.

I wish I could be pretty, and smart. Being in a girl school you become extra conscious about your looks. Not because you want to, or have to, but because it's natural. I've heard so many things, "you're not pretty enough", "your eyes are too small", "your skin isn't flawless" etc. Also, I wish I could be smart. Quite sadly, I do study very hard, but not smart, which doesn't transcend into my results in most circumstances. And being a perfectionist, I want everything to be prim and proper.

Release of 2011 GCE O Level results!!! I was so nervous while waiting for 30 people (-_-) and by the time I actually walked up to the table, I was too numb to do anything other than nod and shake my head. Because I'm someone with quite high expectations of myself, yet ironically enough, is quite stupid, I'm not exactly happy with my overall grades. Am I ashamed of it, no. Am I happy with it, no. Do I accept it, I have to.

And um, I broke down in front of my Physics teacher.

Dear someone who wished you could meet,

Or rather, to the group of people I want to meet - the Glee cast. I've so much to say to them, so much to be thankful for, because of them. They, and they show literally saved my life, when they came onto my tv in a down period of my life. At that point, I was really rock bottom, and felt like a total loser, an underdog. But they were the ones who inspired me through their show that it's is alright to be the underdog. They celebrate that, it is part of life. The character in which they act aren't your glamorized high school stereotypes. They're in fact quite down-to-earth, and very relatable to.

Another important lesson they have taught me through this show is that hate is bad. I hated myself, and different groups of people so much back then. They diffused the hate within me, and I'm more the grateful for it. So, who said that you will learn rubbish from television?

I'm sorry we don't talk as much, and may have given you a hostile impression of me. I blame it mainly on my awkwardness and serious lack in PR skills. Anyway, we use to talk a lot last time, but after we changed classes, we had new friends, and the interaction between each other became less. And now, it's kinda awkward. ): We still talk to each other, on Twitter, but interaction is of course a lot different when talking on the internet. We saw each other the other best at CCA fai, but we didn't had a long chat, which surprised my friend with me, and myself.

I wish things could go back to the was they were. But of course, I can't just keep on sticking to the past because it's familiar.

I know my life and my dreams goes way beyond some stupid old certificate with numbers, but that's the way the education system works. And if I can't get pass the education system, how am I going to survive in the working life?

As if I have yet to waste an extra year in secondary school, I'm going to waste another in Poly. I'm more than tired of wasting time and money to take the long route to selfishly achieve something that I want so badly. Moreover, my parents aren't the most supportive of me being a vet. Yet at the same time, being a vet has always been a dream of mine since I was 3 (tho some parts got steered in another direction due to various distractions) and to just give up on this dream, it'd be the same as letting myself down.

So basically the story of my life is that I'm just around in circles, taking the longer route than everyone else, trying to accomplish things I set out myself to accomplish. Yet it just all ends up in a bunch of dead ends here and there and not half I set myself to do it actually done, at my expectations.

Oh yes, as a Christian, I pray. Oh, do I pray so much. I pray for good results, I pray for good judgement in directions. But do they ever get answered, no. I don't get a yes, I don't get a no, I don't get a maybe. In fact, I don't even get any reply! Christian are supposed to pray to let God steer us in the good life, and there's me, unanswered prayers, no answers to any sots, trying to judge my life out by myself. From the way I see things, I could might as well be an Agnostic.

The worse thing to ever die from in this country is mediocracy.

Dear brother/ sister,

The rule said write about your sibling (if any) or a close relative. Since I've neither of each, I'm just have to write about an imaginary sibling I never had.

So sibling, growing up, I always wanted a younger one to play with so I won't be so lonely. I always wished for one, but never had one. Well, mom did try, but the embryo didn't grow haha. Then when I reached high school, everyone told me how lucky I was to not had any younger siblings because they were a pain in an ass. I'm glad I don't have any. My dream,

Right now, with O Levels results coming around the corner, my dream now is to be able to get into my desired school. I have yet to make my mind up whether I would be JC or Poly for sure, I need a maximum point of 14. Of course, whatever I would get, I would be thankful because it is what i've sowed for months, burning midnight oils and bring loads of coffee. Yet, there would be that bit of disappointment. So right now, I'm just hoping for the very best that Big man upstairs would give me come Monday.

Another dream of mine is to be able to graduate from a reputable university. I know I'm being very practical here, but to be honest, without proper education here in Singapore, it's very far to get able with life. Be it you're gonna be a doctor, a lawyer or even an actor, we need proper education, something to fall back on just in case. My dream is to become a veterinarian.

A wild fantasy is to be a musician or a professional theater performer. Growing up doing music for a huge part of my life, and listening to music from morning to night, I knew music is the one thing that can connect everyone together. I wish to use my music to influence people. Also, doing music, and what I've seen on Glee, I gained the exposure of being on stage, and Broadway. Broadway, is all I like, combined into one. And being on stage, is like an out of body experience. The adrenaline rush one gets from being on stage performing is one that words can't describe.

Remember, never be afraid to dream a little big.

2011 has been an amazing year. By far, my favourite in this 17 years on Earth. A lot of happenings, a few life-changing events. Throughout the year, I took 2011 as a year of celebration. So many things to be thankful for, so many things to be happy for. At some point, something to grieve about, things to ponder on, but everything came out great.

2011 marks the end of a few things, last year in PL, last year in guzheng. I'll miss those things. Not that I'm particularly a huge fan of school, but it has given me so many great memories. Random flash mobs in the middle of classes, waking up at ungodly hours for extra classes, eating a lot of food. And guzheng, the greatest of them all, the many people I've knew since, and have impacted so very much. I'm sure those friendship from school will extend beyond the walls of PL. It was an important year. SYF, GCE, and a whole load of school stuffs rolling into 4 terms. Glad I survived through with friends, coffee, and a whole lot of music.

We love it as much as we hate it. We complain all so much about it, yet at the same time, shower so much praise onto it.

LAST DAY IN PL.

It's been a long winding 11 year route, and it unknowingly just whizzed by.

I'm really not a person with good PR skills, and so when I joined the cohort after staying back in Grade 9, I thought my life would be in hell. But for the most parts, they were all very accepting and non-judgmental, and I've to thank them for that.

Annabelle: Thanks for being such an amazing lab partner (best one yet!)/ class buddy. All the times we broke out into impromptu musical numbers and being threatened to be throw out of chemistry classes 150000 times for talking even when we weren't ._. And being no. 1 celebs in english LOL. It's been a pleasure knowing you.

Dawn: HAI HAWN!! I love that name trolol. Thanks for being a great class partner, and I wished I had God-given rights to kill you for your lameness and horniness. You've been wonderful.

Jamie: It's bee 3 long years, we had our ups and our downs, But you know what, at the end of the day, all's well ends well. Thanks for being my friend,

Physic lecture in the morning, Glee Live: 3D again lol. It's the few movies where I ca watch it for x times and probably won't get tired of it. It's seriously electrifying. Though, people didn't make much noise. Actually, we were the only ones making noise like 12 year old crazy fangirls.

So it seems many of my other friends have watched the movie too. One statement from my friend struck me, "You hate the sin, not the person. You may support but dun approve." I personally find, if you don't approve, every form of supporting thereafter is invalid. Say you go for Pink Dot, met a lesbian couple and go, "I support your relationship, but I do not approve of it." It's oxymoronic, and to some extent, offending. Once again, religion is the cause for such hate. Like I said in the Born This Way post, religion was never supposed to be a reason to create discrimination. Religion is like a penis. It's okay to have one, it's great to have one. It's fine to be proud of it. But please, don't whip it out in public and starting waving it around, and please, don't not shove it down anyone's face.

I supposed why I love the TV series so much it because I can relate to it on a personal level. What struck me was that the characters were on a very down-to-earth levels, unlike glamorized character you see on other shows. This show popped on my screen when I was in a down period, when I felt like an underdog, a loser and it has taught be that it's alright to be one and the issues that i struggle with, everyone - at certain point in life - would also struggle with it as well.

This show popped into my TV screen at the lowest point of the time, a time where I was an underdog, where I need acceptance, acceptance of myself. It taught me to love myself even when the whole world hated you. This show taught me more life lessons that what I read off my rutty CME textbook.

It's the eve of National Day. Tomorrow will be like that one day of the year that I feel patriotic. Oh no, don't get me wrong here, I'm proud to be a Singaporean, truly I am. This island will always be my home, it will always be the place where I have been brought up, and learnt just about everything. No matter where I am, in 5 years or 10 years, I will always be thankful for what I have received and would never give up my citizenship.

Some weeks ago, my teacher made me write "Wishes for Singapore", as part of my school's racial harmony board. I wrote that I’ve proud of our big achievements for the past years - from a small fishing village, to a British colony before the Japanese Occupation, to fighting for our independence in 1965. Since then, we have come a long way from factory work being a big part of our livelihood to a modernized city. Another thing I wrote was equality. Which is something I would like to say about.

The weekend before this, I wanted to let my mom and my uncle watch a US Senate video on the equal marriage bill. Instead of watching it, both of them screeched, "What, do you think I'm gay?” What is wrong with this society? People, you do not need to be gay to support gay right! All you need to be is human. I'm not gay, and look what I am doing. Let me ask, if you support animal rights, you are telling me you are an animal too? This is the shallowest way to put thing. Homophobia, it's a disease. A man-made disease. It's like asking yourself to be ill voluntarily.

My family is not the only ones who think this way, many others too. This society has defined how people should think. Sadly, we have been led in the wrong way.

Some of my friends tell me I am a Christian, it is against the Christian rule to be gay, or even, to support gay rights. Romans 1:26-27 says, "Because of this, God gave them over to shameful lusts. Even their women exchanged natural sexual relations for unnatural ones. In the same way the men also abandoned natural relations with women and were inflamed with lust for one another. Men committed shameful acts with other men, and received in themselves the due penalty for their error." I do acknowledge that while some people would like to stick towards their religious beliefs, but when it comes to things like these, the Bible stays out. I will not compromise my religious beliefs for the rights for 2 humans who truly love each other. Religion should never be a reason to have prejudice. God made us, and love us for who we are. We love because He first loves us, so who are we to judge? Who are we to hate? Also, religion should not take precedence over equality. While religious leaders can continue sticking to their own beliefs, but a government should not should not discriminate for the LGBT communities. It is not fair. No way, no how should this be the case.

One of the stars on the Singapore flag meant "equality", the pledge students island-wide recite 5 days a week has the word "equality" in it too. What's the point of putting it in there if we do not practice what we preach? Total equality in a country doesn't just meant everyone - regardless of race, religion, or sex -, get the same opportunities/ jobs/ educations/ whatever. It also meant that we have equal rights to choose to love and marry whom we love. Rights in Singapore is propagandized so strongly by the government. It's not only is it a felony to be gay, the word isn't even allowed to be used! Everyone is somehow taught that it is wrong and that if you're wrong, then sorry, your life's going to be tough.

Prejudice is a sign of ignorance.

I remember once hearing a taxi driver saying this, "It's isn't that easy to have such stuffs implemented here." I agree, it really isn't easy. Thus, reinstating a point that I made above, many Singaporean would consider this place as a cosmopolitan city, and would go to our graves swearing that it is. But let me tell you, deep down in many hearts, we still maintain many of our Asian heritages, and are actually very conservative. Don’t believe me? Just go onto the streets to do a little survey. I did not even need to conduct one along Orchard Road; all I needed to do was to ask a few of my friends who sit around me in school. Shockingly, all of them are against LGBT rights. This I find very appalling, I thought they were different; after all, we were being brought up in an environment that taught us we should not discriminate.

Continuing my story from just now, I decided to slip from the crowd to watch the video in peace, my mother found me and told me this, “You shouldn’t be exposed to such things at a young age. It only warps you mind, you shouldn't be involved in such things.” I beg to differ. Sarcastically speaking, should we then, teach our children that babies are sent by storks? Should we not be honest to who we truly are? We currently live in a vicious cycle, by not exposing children to - what I call "human knowledge" - we are barring them from the truth. They are unable to accept, in then would close door for changes.

Thank God for pop culture, who in recent years has raised the awareness for LGBT rights. Lady Gaga, and Glee, to name just 2 examples. Special mentions to Glee, a show that celebrates the LGBT community. You many say that my mind is easily swayed by the television - judge for me all you want - but even since this show popped on my TV screen 2 years ago, I have been cured of my homophobia. Say that there wasn’t such a show, and a character like Kurt comes along, all my head would have is negative remarks and how he should not appear on our screens. But now, he is one of the characters I respect so much as he has taught me so many stuffs no school and ever teach. The cast also, has done a wonderful job in raising awareness around.

I’m so proud for New York for legalizing the equal marriage bill last June. This is a progress. It set me thinking, will there ever be a day when Singapore would follow the footsteps of New York? From what I am seeing now, probably nowhere in the near future, especially with the infamous Section 377A of The Penal Code hanging around. I’m not even asking for gay marriages to be legalized here yet, all I am wanting here is for 2 people, who truly love each other to do so without being prosecuted. In what way it is a crime or a sin to chose to love someone? It is 2 people, who are loving and committed to each other. These relationships are the ones I envy, and in fact, many should envy.

Gandhi once said, "Be the change you want to see in the world", if the current generation can't make the change, then let our generation be the one to make the change. We are young, and have yet to see the outside world. Do not let our thinking be defined by the way our parents told us, do not let our perspectives be shaped by what society thinks. Do not let ignorance get in our way. Let us witness this revelation that could bring change to our country.

Fate, not chance

My seventeen this week wouldn't be a happy one. My application for Nanyang JC was rejected.

I thought I was already mentally prepared as soon as I got back my exam results that I would stand a slim chance of being successful, but I never thought it'd kick as hard now that the news is starting to settle in. I will continue loving guzheng. The days in PL Guzheng has been the best time of my life. It always will be. But for now, I guess it's time to retire from the performing scene and start something else afresh. Perhaps, I'll take it as a form of leisure, but the chances of me being as hardcore as last time is not really possible.

I'm currently questioning the validity of Christianity. I feel that God is punishing me more than blessing me. I can literally count with my own 2 hands the number of times He was blessed me, the last one ending with SYF. But then again, it was a group effort so on an individual basis, not for a very long time. So long, even I can't remember.

They say you reap what you sow, and God will bless the hardworking one. I've been hardworking, I have been praying! But nothing seems to be working? Everyone around me seen to have their prayers answers, have miracles from God done upon them. And here I am sitting around, working and praying hard, but all efforts seem to be futile. They say there is always 3 answers to a prayer - yes, no and wait - but what if the wait has been so long that all you want to do it give up? I always wonder what are His plans for me. I may be a literature student but I'm not the greatest in fishing out subtile hints. I'd rather like things set in their literal mode.

What happens when you have reached a point where "God, help me!" doesn't seem to be working anymore?

Why is He doing this to do? It is because I stray from church even so often? Or it is because I run away from cell group and shy away from ministry events? Or is it because I cuss too much? Or it is I seem to say things with an agnostic view? Or it is I support things based on the normal Christian beliefs? Or maybe I tend to portray myself as a Christian paradox?

Starting to wonder if He has ever heard my prayers, or in the first place, is up there.

We've come to at end of the first (of the many) tiring rounds. There has been laughter, some tears and a whole lot of anger. I swear the school is trying to kill us all by having exams right after the holidays. I'm a shoo-in for just about every single remedials the school has thrown into our timetable because I think I've failed everything except english and chinese. And I had O levels chinese oral, fyi, I did terribly.

Just fuck everything and run away. On the bright side, there isn't school tomorrow! And Lady Gaga is in town!!

Caught the 8pm show at MBS Sand's theater. It isn't awarded 1998 Tony's for Best Musical for nothing, a wonderful theatrical showcase. A total worth of my $165. it isn't everyday where an elephant runs down next to you at the beginning of Act 1. It's a show for everyone.

I was in awe of all the colorful costumes and every actor played their part wonderfully on stage, regardless how small their parts were. The musical pieces were just as captivating. Broadway never fails.

My mom watched Golden Globes with me and said this was probably the best speech of that night.

Been feeling really stress. I put a lot of pressure on myself, and on top of that, my parents, teachers, tutor, friends expects a lot from me too. And I think I'm reaching boiling point. I somehow think my teachers have given up hope on me. they stare at me with what unconvinced eyes when they find out when I want to try out for junior college. Either that, or that crazy school diva tries to ask me to drop add math.

In my school, if you're doing sports or you're rich, you're up on the penthouse. If you're both, you're like a God. Funny, my school is a mission school, where we're taught to worship one, and one one God. the One in heaven. Statuses are like bank account, when you're rich, you can literally get away with everything. My club brings home the gold, but sucks for us, we're a music group. Funny again, how my school is niche in music. I wonder how the rep will become in a couple of years ahead. But hell, I'm glad in where I am, we celebrate and accept our differences and remember that what makes us different make us stand out from the crowd.

I just got a deal with my mom. She says if I get 100% passes for either prelims and 3 distinctions in any subject, I could win myself a one-way ticket to the capital of the world - New York. I don't even think I'm capable of passing anything other than english and chinese!

Spent my Saturday evening watching Wicked: The Musical on google. We're into the final week of intensive before we head off to Chinese O Levels. It feels like SYF all over again. Chinese prelims results came back. I'm relieved I passed, but still disappointed with some parts.

There's many things I don't get on what the school is doing. For example, spending money on miscellaneous stuffs but not on stuffs that are good for us. Or another one, not rewarding deserving pupils but instead giving others who hasn't performed just as well opportunities to showcase their talents beyond the school grounds.

I think it is disturbing to know so many people take achievements for granted. Not just the students, the teachers as well. Everyone puts on a facade and tells you good thing up in your face, but behind, they can't wait to hate you. I hate how teachers use CCA to pick on you. How they think that we come a very discipline CA thus meaning we're are prim and proper at all times. I hate how once my new form teacher finds out what CCA I'm from, she would suddenly have very high standards to met because I come from a "good background".

Someone said today, "Silvers are the new Gold". Really?

5 years in secondary school, and I've been through 3 SYFs, every 2 years, I hear the same thing; "Guzheng will always get gold with honors". It's now not just a comment, but a cliche. And when we tell they it's hard, they say we're too modest. Finally when we really got our golds, they hate us for being too proud, award-robbing. Think about it, if it weren't for us, would the school ever become the Centre of Excellence for performing arts in the east zone? No I'm sure. I'm not saying that the other groups aren't good. What I meant was that we are the ones that keep our flag flying high consistently.

Honestly, I don't see the point for the hate. You sow what you reap. Only the people in guzheng will ever get to know what happens behind the doors of our room. How much we had preserved, and endured. It's not only a physical test on our fingers, but a mental test on how much we can take. it's a bond that last a lifetime.

I really hope something good will come out from this General Election. To me, it doesn't really matter which party wins for my constituency, what matters most is how then, are they going to govern the area that I live in. Also, what I want is to have good governance, a country that remains anti-corrupted and a land with equal opportunities.

I get so sad every time I see a senior citizen digging in the trash bin for food or some other stuff to recycle for money. Singapore is a place with such high GDP, but where has all the money went to into caring for the elderly or the less fortunate? Also, I hope, they’d implement LGBT rights, for I believe in equality no matter what our sexual orientation is. It's not a crime to be who you are, but to me, it's is beyond logic why anyone should be punished for who they are. I hope that more could be done to animal cruelty. Quite recently, more news have been appearing of animal being abandoned or tortured, but yet, not a strict law has been implemented to put those human beasts to justice.

I wished that in Singapore, a person classified as being outstanding isn't based on academic achievements alone, but on characters or on the talent one possesses. I don't want housing or car - well that may be a bonus - but I want a society that is fair, what i want is respect and a land of equal opportunities. Success isn't good enough, what we want is a fair society.

Now, if only lit test tomorrow was changed to "write your thoughts and feeling on Singapore General Elections 2011", I'd have a lot more to write. News of Osama being shot was being splashed in every single news bulletin. To me, I say, justice is served. But on a personal note, I'd wish the American would have brought him back to USA to show everyone what he has done and punish him severely for all the heinous crimes he has committed.

Went to WP's rally last night with my dad and Tao. I must say, politicians make the most impeccable speeches. Though I think the people should vote for the party that you think will give you a good life, and not just because you want to oppose the current government.

At yesterday's rally, I mainly felt that WP weren't really talking on how/ what they could do if they were elected at MPs. Instead, they went on harping why they shouldn't vote for PAP. Of course, each party have their own views. Decisions are made not because they are popular, but because they're benefits in the long run. You can never do anything to make everyone happy, or else, there wouldn't be such a thing a pros and cons.

Some food for thought, would you rather have a first world government, yet however at the expense of doing so, sacrifice the good living environment of the citizens?

Vote with no regrets.

Happy Good Friday. Jesus died and saved us this very day 2000+ years ago. Finally going church later after so long.

Anyhoos, we've finally come to an end of a very emotional week. I was quite an emotional train wreck. The fact that we got Gold with Honors at SYF still has yet to sink it. In fact, the fact that syf is over has even yet to be sunken it. It was supposed to be next week.

Call me odd but really I'm not used to not having cca, even if it's only has been 2 days. I'm not used to having oral instead of sectionals. I miss everyone so bad, and I miss my instrument - even if I have 1 at home but that old one sucks. I really don't want to step down just. 10 years, I've been living by a routine-like lifestyle of staying back in school until the evening twice a week. And suddenly wanting my brain to transit into such a lifestyle, it's not going to be easy. A void will form in my heart and the level of spirit and bond can never be found anywhere else.

One year ago, I had a hard time bidding farewell with the rest, now I have problems leaving myself.

So it's final curtain call I guess. It's tiring, but the best show ever put up. Congrats to every performer/ cast/ crew for the wonderful performance. And a very huge thank you for all those who came down to watch us. Tuesday will be magical, I just know it would be.

To me, a good piece of music is when you listen to it 1000 times, and not get sick of it and that same goosebumps will appear nonetheless.

My cca gave me the inspiration to write an essay saying "that in a team, everyone is important. and that no one is irreplaceable". We're not just a team, we're a family. Ohana. Ohana means family, and family never gets abandoned, or forgotten. The big day is in 15 days, we can do this together.Symphony of Praise 3 tickets are sold out! Thank you all who are coming. Sports Day - Lee won cheerleading. It was fantastic, to be honest. I like cheerleading skirts so I should join cheerleading in JC. I'm not kidding.
I did 50 sit-ups in 1 min, I swear I've got 6 packs now. Btw, sports day suck balls, no track-and-field events and it was in school. We were in the newspaper for eating the most apples (like srsly)
Guzheng is now 4 times a week (!!!)

First day of school. It means another week closer to chinese o levels ): Anyway the holidays last week weren't much of any holidays. Guzheng took up 6 days and I swear I'm losing my sanity. The 2 pieces for competition keeps running through my head like a wild animal. And whilst playing, the scene of Vincent Cassel yelling at Natalie Portman in Black Swan keeps flashing in my mind.

Anyway i accidentally hit a volleyball over to the construction site during house practice and i'm becoming $30 porrer! What you call payment, i call extortion. I know very well how much a ball cost and you could always head over to asl for the ball back. And yeah, my folks aren't the happiest of people when they heard.I like the fact that Tuesdays starts at nine and I can wake up late. The only downside - the horrible lessons. So here's to another 10 weeks of school! :D

aI've never felt more stupid in my life. Failing lit& amath were excepted (10/100!) but comb humanities, this came too much of a surprise. I know I've never been able to pull of a pass but I really thought I could finally make it this time. Emath, likewise was a dissapointment, way too careless and allowed the distinction for my paper to slip away.

I'm so insanely dumb I should just go to some place where everyone is dumb just to feel smart, then die there.

I can officially say I'm done with my final common test in secondary (and the end to the first season of exams). I hope I do well, lit, chem and amath are exceptions. Amath is my new fuck buddy ;} I don't see why I shouldn't have a/e math tuition twice a week. Anyways ms kok did give us a spoiler alert on our test, and we did well! 5 failures only :D

I think I'm spending too much time on tumblr. Grilled cheese for dinner :D

Swan Queen

Took time off during the weekends to catch Black Swan online. In three words, intriguing, amazing and intense. New found respect for ballet dancers, Natalie Portman and Mila Kunis. Natalie Portman really deserved to win the Golden Globe as well as SAG awards. I secretly wish to be a ballet dancer as a girl, and even up till now. I start to wonder why my parents never ever send me to ballet classes but chose to put me in guzheng. Not complaining, I really love what I'm doing right now, cause without guzheng, I really don't know where I'll be now.

Everyone in school wants to watch it hahaha

Also, the film showed the part of the performing arts. I'm no trained dancer, but I'm to some extent, a trained musician, and I know how cruel people can be to be number one, and how much pressure is given to be perfect. So, same sentiments here.

Black Swan is so going into my list of favorite movies of 2011. 4.5 stars (out of 5) is my rating.

I'm your typical over-achiever.

Anyway, I've been caught up with school that I'm only given such little time to do things that I want to do. I even gave up my appointment at NSC for extra math consultation with Ms Kok. I'm so glad she's my math teacher because she's the only one - other than my tutor - that can ever help me get an A1 for my national exams. Can't believed I managed to convince my parents, and myself that grades are now much more important that my face. I just pray to God that the weather wouldn't screw up my face until May. I mean, SYF is in April and not only do I have to be perfect, I also have to look perfect.

Common test period now, and naturally comes the stress. Most of the papers were alright until now, though literature kills, that I can officially say. I'm never going to take that subject in JC.

Long rant, will be busy until 22, earliest. In the mean time, keep yourself entertained.

It's only wednesday and I'm already exhausted.

Technically, e-learning was yesterday. But no, i was in school from 930-7 for guzheng. I didn't do my math work even though the dateline was supposedly extended, and really, I've never felt anymore guilty for not doing homework. I spoke to ms k and she wants a good reason why she ought to give me another chance to get it done. I'm clueless ): and neither do I want to settle for 0 was that part of my CA grade. Graphs are really my strong points and it's easy! Exams start is friday and i'm not one bit prepared.

Anyways, Taylor Swift is in town for her once-night-only gig. And what am I doing, waiting for amath tuition to start. Re-listening to the recording of SYF '09. It brings back so many good memories and reminds myself why i love guzheng. All fingers crossed for this year's competition as pratices goes into full swing from now.

I topped class, along with Annabelle for english compre and passed physics quiz is a decent grade. How come I'm not feeling happy?

CNY was a blast. Ate, gambled, answered FAQs, played with animals. I wished it was CNY everyday. I especially loved going Andy's house, so chic with great food. He fed me for 5 hours.

My room is in a mess once again o_o my homework is undone (lit assignment - 30%) neither have i studied for amath. I've got money lying all over my tables. Exams starts this friday, totally unprepared. I don't even know where to begin. E-learning on tuesday.
